You may have heard of our Guaranteed Savings for new customers. But did you know we offer a similar guarantee for our existing customers? It’s called The Deal Breaker.
We back our prices at Powershop, so we’re prepared to put our money where our mouth is.
If you’re already a customer of ours and you find what looks like a better rate from another power company, send it to us. As long as it meets our terms and conditions, we’ll put you on The Deal Breaker.
Here’s how it works:
- You send us evidence of another power company’s published rate which is currently available to you at your main home.
- We’ll load the rate alongside your Powershop account
- Over 12 months we will monitor what you’re paying us for power and compare that to what you would have paid the other company for the same amount of power over that same period.
If you end up paying us more than what the other power company would have charged you after 12 months, we’ll pop a credit into your account. The credit amount will be equal to the difference between what you paid Powershop and what you would have paid the other power company, plus a little bit extra*.
But you won’t need to wait till the year’s up to see where you’re at. Every three months or so, we’ll email you to let you know how things are going.
Note the competitor’s rate must be based on the same meter set up you are on now (e.g. Controlled or Uncontrolled). We also can’t guarantee against rates based on real-time spot market pricing. You can read the terms and conditions in full here.
