> Powershop is a digital-first electricity retailer in New Zealand, offering customers a unique online shop to purchase "Powerpacks" and manage their energy usage.

Powershop provides a transparent and interactive way to buy electricity for residential properties. Backed by Meridian Energy, the platform moves away from traditional monthly billing by allowing users to buy power as they go through a mobile app or desktop interface.

**The Shop and Powerpacks:** Customers can browse a shop for various "Powerpacks," which are bundles of electricity sold at different price points, often including special discounts or themed "Future Packs" for long-term budgeting.
**Digital Support:** As a digital brand, Powershop does not provide a traditional 0800 phone number. There is a live chat during business hours staffed by New Zealand based staff. If the livechat is unavailable, during business hours, Customers can email info@powershop.co.nz for assistance with account related issues and hello@team.powershop.co.nz if they are on the new account system (your account number will start with an A). Customer support is primarily handled via a chat bot outside of business hours. 
**Flexibility:** Residential customers are not tied to fixed-term contracts, allowing for freedom and control over their electricity provider and payment schedule.
