Moving house with Powershop

Moving house with Powershop is simple, you can do it all online in a few minutes. We'll make your move much easier.

New Customers

To switch to Powershop all you need is:

  • 5 minutes to complete the application form
  • Your payment details (credit card or bank account)
  • Optional - a recent electricity bill

We’ll contact your current supplier to arrange the transfer & ensure there’s no disruption to your normal electricity service.

It’ll typically take between 2-3 weeks to switch your supply; we’ll update you via email as your switch progresses.

Existing Powershop Customers

To move house online with Powershop you only need to:

  • Set aside 2-3 minutes of your time
  • Tell us your new address and the day you’re moving in
  • Login to your Powershop account, select 'My Settings', then 'Address Details' and follow the simple instructions from there.

We'll need a final meter reading for your current property. You can enter this on the day you move or up to 3 days afterwards, or for a small fee we can do this for you.

Powershop can also send you a reminder email and/or text on your move out date to remind you to take a final meter reading. To receive this notification simply select this option when you login and move house with Powershop.
