This promotion runs from 31 July 2023 until 31 August 2023 (the Promotional Period).
To receive the account credit of $250 payable over 24 months (Friend Credit), you’ll need to:
- be referred during the Promotional Period by a current Powershop customer (Referrer) via the August Switch Your Mates promotion [using the Powershop customer’s referral link];
- sign up to become a Powershop customer via the Powershop mobile app or web app [using the Referrer's referral link]; and
- successfully switch to Powershop by no later than 10 September 2023.
Once you’ve been switched to Powershop, we will credit your Powershop account with $10. You will then receive a $10 credit in each of your 24 following monthly account review periods. We’ll also credit the Powershop account of the person who referred you with $100 (Referrer Credit) when you switch too. If you switch away from Powershop within 24 months of becoming a customer, then you forfeit your right to any remaining credits that would have been due under this promotion.
The Powershop Friend Credit and Referrer Credit are only available for use with Powershop for purchasing electricity products and cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash. The Friend Credit is limited to one per Powershop Account, per ICP within a 24 month period. Unless stated otherwise, the Friend Credit is not available in conjunction with any other promotional offers (including any other Switch Your Mates promotions) available through Powershop from time to time. You will not be eligible to receive this Friend Credit if you, or anyone residing at your residence, has received credit for signing up to Powershop within the last 12 months. Your eligibility for this promotion is dependent on you meeting Powershop’s standard customer eligibility criteria, you accepting Powershop’s customer terms and conditions at sign up, and authorising Powershop to conduct a credit check using the details you sign up with and Powershop being satisfied with the results of that credit check. Employees of Powershop are not eligible to be referred to Powershop through this promotion, but may refer their friends and family to Powershop.
Powershop may, at its sole discretion, either decline to apply any Referrer/Friend Credit, or remove any Referrer/ Friend credit granted, where it reasonably believes that the Referrer and/or the Friend have not complied with the terms and conditions of this offer or are taking unfair advantage of this offer. Examples include, but are not limited to, where Powershop reasonably believes that a customer or other residents at a property have already received a sign up credit for that property within the last 12 months, the same house being successively signed up to numerous occupants within a 24 month period in order to claim the credit; or where it is apparent to Powershop that the referral is not genuine. Powershop may require proof of identification or a tenancy agreement in order to verify eligibility for this offer.

Referrer’s Ts&Cs
This promotion runs from 31 July 2023 until 31 August 2023 (the Promotional Period).
For each friend or family member you invite to join Powershop via our August Switch Your Mates promotion, who:
- is not already a Powershop customer; and
- has not received credit for signing up to Powershop within the last 12 months; and
- signs up their main home to Powershop via the ‘Switch Your Mates’ function in the Powershop mobile app or web app, using your referral code, during the Promotional Period; and
- successfully completes their switch to Powershop by 10 September 2023,
you’ll get $100 credited to your Powershop account (Referrer Credit).
You’ll receive your Referrer Credit once your invited friend or family member has switched to Powershop. Your friend or family member will receive a credit of $250, payable over 24 months as follows: their first credit of $10 will be paid once they’ve switched to Powershop, followed by a $10 credit in each of their 24 following monthly account review periods (Friend Credit). If your invited friend or family member switches away from Powershop within 24 months of becoming a customer then they forfeit their right to any remaining credits that would have been due under this promotion.
The Powershop Referrer Credit and Friend Credit are only available for use with Powershop for purchasing electricity products and cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash.
Powershop never wants to spam anyone. We run our Switch Your Mates promotions solely to allow our customers to refer their friends and family. By using our Switch Your Mates link sharing function, you confirm that the recipients of the link have consented to receiving this message from you.
