Why is the business customer Shop closing?

We’re giving our business customer offerings under the Powershop brand a bit of a rethink while we work through a transition to a new billing system. The new system can do some cool things our current system can’t, and while we think about what comes next, the Shop has to go.

When is the Shop closing?

The Shop will close on Wednesday 25/02/2026, from which date Powerpacks will no longer be available to buy.

What happens to unused or partially used power packs at the time of the Shop closure?

No worries! You won’t lose out:

Unused Powerpacks will be credited back to your Powershop account. You’ll get back what you paid for the pack, plus a separate credit for the value that pack gave you.

Partially used packs will be refunded based on what’s left. Let us explain this one in a bit more detail:
You bought a Powerpack for $100 that gives you $110 worth of power. If you’ve used $40 worth of power from the pack when the Shop closes, you’ll be credited $70 in total, which is the remaining value of the pack.
- This will show as two amounts making up the total of $70. One being the pro-rated purchase cost, with a separate credit covering the remaining value of the pack.

Note: If you have more than one Powerpack remaining at the time the Shop closes, the account credit applied to reflect the pack value may be applied in one lump sum. As an example:

You have two Powerpacks remaining, with neither having been used yet. One cost you $100 and provides $110 worth of power, and the other cost $50 and provides $55 worth of power. You would see both packs purchase cost credited individually ($100, and $50 respectively), with the remaining pack values ($10, and $5) applied as one account credit of $15.

Will Powerpack refunds go to my bank account or Powershop account?

Any refunded amounts will be credited back to your Powershop account. We’ll credit the purchase cost of the pack and apply an additional credit for the remaining value the pack provides. Easy peasy!

Can I get a refund to my bank account for the unused packs?

In most cases, yes! It just needs to line up with our refund policy. Jump on live chat and we’ll talk it through.

Will my plan or pricing change due to the Shop closure?

Nope, your plan and Standard Rate won’t change due to the Shop closure. You’ll just no longer have access to the Shop to buy Powerpacks, which are often available at a discount to your Standard Rate.

Does this affect the residential Shop?

No, the residential Shop remains open for residential customers.
