At Powershop, we like to keep you in the loop. Here are some of the communications you get from us as a customer, what’s in them, and how you can opt out if you want to.

Your power update email

This email gives you a weekly snapshot of the power you have used vs the power you have bought. It also shows how your daily usage compares to the week before.

If you don’t want to receive this email, for example if you are in the habit of regularly checking your balance online or on our app, it’s easy to turn off.

Log in to your online account, then click the Settings tab. Under ‘Account Settings’, select ‘Alerts’. Untick ‘Your Powershop report’ and you’re done!

Purchase notification email

By default, we send you an email with an invoice attached whenever you buy a Powerpack. To turn this off, follow the steps above to get to the Alerts page. This time, untick ‘Purchase notification’. Sorted.

App notifications

In the Powershop mobile app you can choose whether or not to receive ‘push’ notifications on your device for new Powerpacks, low power balance, meter reader visits, etc.

Open the app menu, tap ‘Settings’, then ‘Account settings’, then ‘Notifications’. Choose which ones you want to turn on or off.

We recommend leaving the new Powerpacks notification on so you don’t miss out on our specials!

Getting multiple alerts?

If you are getting multiple notifications on your iPhone or iPad, this may be because you still have old devices registered on your account.

You should be able to fix this online through your desktop account. Under ‘Account Settings’, select ‘Alerts’, then click ‘Applications’. Unlink any devices you no longer use.

If that doesn’t work, contact our friendly crew using our live chat.

Account Review coming email

You’ll get this email on or a few days after the end of your Account Review period if you haven’t bought enough Powerpacks to cover your usage, or if we don’t have an up-to-date meter read. It gives you the opportunity to buy power or enter a reading before we close things off for the month.

Account Review email

Last but not least, every month we send you your Account Review. You’ll get this on or a few days after the end of your Account Review period, or after the ‘Account Review coming’ email.

The Account Review email and attached PDF details how much power you’ve used, how much that power cost, and whether or not you still have anything to pay on your account. It’s our version of a bill, so there’s no opting out of this one!

The email also summarises the overall discount and dollar saving you have made through buying Powerpacks. The attached PDF then gives a full breakdown of what Powerpacks were used during the account review period and what they cost vs what they were worth.

You can find more information about your Account Review, and everything else Powershop, on our Help Site.
