Unlike the Colonel’s herbs and spices, we’re not keeping our recipe secret for how to get the best value out of Powershop. Watch our Specials guy Steve share the magic formula in full in our first Power Hacks video, or read the transcript below.
Note: since we made this video, the Simple Saver pack has got a new look and name. You'll now find 'Staying Power' in the Shop instead.
“Hi, I’m Steve, and I’m here to share our magic formula, for how you can cover your entire monthly power usage with our discounted packs.
Start by by grabbing your Staying Power each month. There’s a new Staying Power special in the shop on the first of every month and it’s in the shop for the whole month. This will give you about a week to ten days’ worth of power – and it’s the biggest discount of all our packs.
The next best discounts come from our ad-hoc specials. You’ll get about 50 of these a year.
They’re released at random times and are only in the shop for a couple of days. Make sure you download our mobile app, or follow us on Facebook to be notified when a new special hits the shop.
If you can, it’s also a good idea to look ahead, by tucking away some power for the months to come with a Future Pack or two.
A Future Pack gives you about a week’s worth of power. You can purchase two of each pack and the earlier you buy, the bigger the discount! We recommend buying them 5-6 months ahead of time, when the discount is 10%.
If Staying Power, the ad-hoc specials and Future Packs aren’t quite enough to cover your usage, then our fixed price specials are the way to go. They come in a range of sizes and are available all the time… so you can cover any shortfall while still getting a discount.
So there you have it, our not-so-secret formula for how to get the best value, and the most savings, on your power.”
